Swedish label The Wild Hunt is about to release the vinyl version of our EP "Initium Belli".
The official release is scheduled for January 2, 2024.

This new edition will come in 2 versions : Classic black edition limited to 119 copies and blue-white-red edition "Vive la France" limited to 169 copies.
Both will include the 5 tracks from the MNCD released in 2017 plus 3 bonus tracks recorded live in 2009.

November 12th 2002, Hegemon released its second album "By This, I Conquer" via the label Dysphorie Records. It was 20 years ago. An opportunity to watch an unreleased video of the track "By This I Conquer" performed live during Hellfest 2016 at Hegemon's Youtube channel.

"By This, I Conquer" is still available on CD and digital formats at the Hegemon's Bandcamp page. 

Hegemon wishes to inform that its drummer AD is facing health problems. Unfortunately this situation compromises his involvement in the band, in particular for upcoming live shows. In spite of this, Hegemon’s will is to maintain its appearance at LADLO Fest II in May, and also at New Blood Fest II in October. To do this, a session drummer is currently working hard on the setlist, in order to be ready as soon as possible. Aï Ibur Shapû!

Hegemon will perform at Culoz (FR) for New Blood Fest II, on October 15th 2022.

Hegemon releases new album "Sidereus Nuncius" via Les Acteurs De L'Ombre Productions.
This new opus has been recorded, mixed and mastered at WSL Studio during years 2020 / 2021.

Hegemon will perform at Clisson (FR) on June 19th 2016 for the Hellfest Open Air.

Hegemon will perform at Laudun l'Ardoise (FR) on February 2nd 2013, for the Forum Fest, 5th edition. 2 stages will host 8 bands.

Hegemon has welcomed AD, as new drummer and D as permanent second guitarist. Line-up is complete again.

Next album is in progress, and Hegemon will play a special one-off concert on June 22th 2012, to celebrate TAF's 15th anniversary, with Dark Funeral and Seth.

It's with great sadness that we announce the death of our new drummer, Pierre Beziat, accidentally deceased on july 18th 2010. Pierre had integrated the band at the beginning of 2009, and took part in some live shows, in particular the "Black Metal is Rising V" festival, in Paris, in May 2009.

"Contemptus Mundi" is the name of the third Hegemon's full lengh album.
It will be released on January 2008 in the world and February 2008 in USA & Canada by the label Season Of Mist / Underground Activists.

It has been recorded and mixed during last 2 weeks of August 2007, at Tymix Studio, in Britanny (FR) by Patrick "Darkhyrys" G. and Joël Cebe.

Hegemon went to Trendkill Studio and recorded 3 news tracks in attempt to find a new label to release the forthcoming 3rd Hegemon album. This MCD will be sent to labels only.

Hegemon will perform at Marseille (FR), Poste à Galène on December 1st 2005, with Irmensul, Bloody Visions and Daedalion.

JB is no longer with the band. A session guitarist will cover any futur concerts.

Hegemon is currently in the process of completing the compositions for its forthcoming 3rd album.

Hegemon released sophomore album "By This I Conquer" on November 12th 2002 on CD format via the label Dysphorie Records.

A limited edition in a cardboard box, with a band logo shaped piece of metal in the front, strictly limited to 216 copies, handnumbered in silver ink, is available directly at the Dysphorie shop. The box contains a regular copy of the album.

After two demo-tapes, Hegemon released its first album via the french label Sacral Productions.

Hegemon was born in the winter of 1996, one year after A and N had met and had decided to work on a common musical project. The arrival of Krzys and F in the band will complete the line-up. First demo "Rape the banner of light" was released in 1997 on the french label Chanteloup Creation. A second edition called "Still raping after all these years" was released at the end of 1998, with three new songs. Then, the band welcomed J.B, one last member before the recording of first album "Chaos Supreme" in january 2000 for the french label Sacral Production.

Hegemon is an entity itself where the musicians are just instruments to spread its music. We do not belong to anything, we don't want to be linked to anything, we are what we are : dedicated and free souls only.
